Over two decades, we have had extensive experience in replicating and re-designing pieces from the Art Deco period, in particular, the work of designer Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann. The work of Ruhlmann ushered in the Art Deco period, with artistic contributions from Frank, Lelue, Sue e Mare, Chareau, and Rousseau among others. Today the works of these masters are only found at the most important auctions and in the permanent collection of the world's museums, making them very difficult to procure.
We have replicated in museum quality detail, many of the most complex and rare pieces of Ruhlmann, Frank, Lelue, Sue e Mare, Chareau, and Rousseau, among others. Our work is as fine as the original pieces with one exception: our substrate materials are superior to those used in the originals. While we use the same exact veneers and exotic materials, many from the original suppliers, we also employ the finest substrates that are currently available.
The photos below represent a number of the reproductions that Pollaro has produced utilizing the original designs of these Art Deco masters.
